Curriculum Design & Program Evaluation
Curriculum built to engage, evaluations built to improve.
“I had the absolute pleasure of working with Jessica Morrison as we launched our first youth pre-accelerator pilot program, Spark Lab, and I can’t overstate the impact she had on its success. Her expertise in education, curriculum development, and delivery was truly invaluable -- she helped shape a program that empowered young entrepreneurs with the tools and confidence they needed to thrive. One of the most powerful outcomes of Jessica’s work was hearing directly from a participant who shared that she now feels like a stronger communicator—a testament to Jessica’s thoughtful curriculum design and dedication to fostering real growth in young innovators.” -Taylor Poynor, COO for Homegrown Pathways
Curriculum Design
The fundamental curriculum design services utilize elements of design thinking and project-based learning to ensure a focused, student-centered approach that is both engaging and impactful for students. I have designed curricula for education nonprofits, K-12 institutions, and federal government education agencies. Curriculum design is co-created with identified key partners in the organization and is built to align with state standards, course objectives, and student outcomes. Alongside lesson plans are resources provided, including student and facilitator guides, pre- and post-surveys, and curricular materials.
Having received various awards from the Colorado Department of Education for curriculum focused on a Freshman Career Exploration Program and a Sophomore Inspire Week Program, this curriculum continues to be utilized as an example of excellence by other K-12 institutions across the state.
Current curriculum designs have included a pre-collegiate preparation curriculum for youth at Peak Education and a curriculum for youth entrepreneurship with Homegrown Pathways.

“Jessica brings a unique blend of experience and knowledge, having worked as a college counselor, serving as the founding executive director of a regional nonprofit, and engaging in several important career and college initiatives across the country. Through our program evaluation, she has provided insights that are allowing us to be more effective and impactful with our solutions and program design.”

Program Evaluation
I start with listening and building trust with engaged stakeholders. Program evaluations are a great opportunity for teams to share areas of strength and success, while providing ideas and insight into systems and programs that can be strengthened. Through a community-driven approach, my program evaluations welcome everyone to the table to collectively agree on the goals that they want to achieve. My evaluation process is then customized to meet these goals through asking the right questions, reviewing materials, and collecting and analyzing data. Team members feel invested in the process and are willing to engage, highlighting their program's strengths and gathering new ideas to further refine their existing programs. I provide a detailed internal report that includes key findings and recommendations drawn from years of program design and implementation experience, place-based learning, and design thinking methodologies. Utilizing a unique blend of experience and skills, I ensure that program evaluations are customized to the specific organization's identified needs and its unique program requirements.
